What Vita Care is
Vita Care is a medication reminder app developed by Novema Solutions LLC, 2858 S Karlov Ave, Chicago, IL 60623-4439, United States, under the Novema Solutions LLC brand. By installing and using it, you accept these terms.
Medical notice (read it)
Vita Care is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. It does not replace advice from your doctor, your pharmacist or any healthcare professional.
- Never change your medication based on what you see in the app.
- The app does not verify that the medications, doses or schedules you enter are correct. Your doctor decides that.
- The app does not check for interactions between medications.
- Reminders depend on your phone: the operating system, the battery, the permissions granted and the power-saving settings. A reminder may not arrive. Do not rely on Vita Care as the only safeguard for critical medication.
- The PDF report is a summary of what was marked in the app, not a clinical record. An unmarked dose does NOT mean the medication wasn't taken.
- Label reading can misread a photo. Always check the name and dose before saving.
Remote care
Remote care lets another person see from their phone whether you've taken your medication. The rules:
- Both sides must consent. The person who will be caring enters a code; the person who will be cared for confirms it on their own phone. Nobody can activate the link alone.
- It can be cut at any time, from either side, without notice and without explanation.
- Four caregivers maximum per person. No paid plan raises that cap.
- Marking is symmetric. If the person caring for you marks a dose, your phone shows who marked it. And vice versa.
- What you see may be out of date. It depends on the other phone having battery, signal and permissions. A dose not showing as marked does not prove it wasn't taken, and the same goes for notifications: they are not a medical alarm.
- You are responsible for your link. If you care for another person, you are responsible for having their consent and for treating what you see with the same discretion you'd apply to any family member's health information.
Pricing
Vita Care's core features are free: reminders, schedules, appointments, on-device caregiver mode, PDF reports and on-device label reading. The rule we follow is simple: what lives on your phone isn't charged for.
We charge for the features that consume server resources:
- Remote care, by the number of people you care for (1, up to 3, or up to 6), monthly or yearly. The person being cared for never needs a payment method: the caregiver pays.
- Cloud label reading.
About subscriptions:
- They are processed through Google Play, and prices are shown there before you buy.
- They renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Google Play and you'll keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's policies.
- We may change the price or what each plan includes. Changes will not affect a subscription you already have until its next renewal.
If a care subscription lapses, the link is not deleted — it's frozen. The history stops being visible and the cared-for person's phone stops uploading doses, but nobody has to ask permission again when payment resumes. A missed payment is not a revocation.
If you care for more people than your plan covers, the ones you linked first are kept. It's an automatic criterion and always the same one, because a subscription can lapse with nobody in front of the phone to choose.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the data you enter and for deciding your treatment with your doctor. Do not use the app for anything illegal, and do not attempt to access the data of people who haven't authorized you.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Novema Solutions LLC will not be liable for damages arising from the use or inability to use the app, including a reminder that doesn't arrive or arrives late. None of this limits the rights your country's consumer law grants you.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date above.
